We're looking for a dedicated and punctual delivery driver to help distribute our newspapers to racks and businesses and homes in the Battleground and Ridgefield area.
Position Overview:
As a Newspaper Delivery Driver, your primary duty will be to ensure the prompt distribution of our newspapers to both residential and commercial locations within the Battleground and Ridgefield regions.
Your contribution is crucial for enabling businesses to further disseminate our publications.
This role is offered on a contractual basis, with compensation provided on a per-paper-delivered model.
Deliveries are scheduled weekly, generally occurring on Tuesdays and/or Wednesdays.
Key
Responsibilities:
1.
Loading, transporting, and delivering newspapers in bulk to designated businesses.
2.
Reviewing orders before and after delivery to ensure the correct number of newspaper bundles have been loaded and that orders are complete.
3.
Assisting in mapping efficient delivery routes.
4.
Maintaining accurate records of deliveries and providing daily delivery logs.
5.
Ensuring the delivery vehicle is always clean, safe, and in good working condition.
6.
Communicating with dispatchers, coworkers, and business representatives in a professional manner.
7.
Adhering to all traffic laws and safety regulations.
Qualifications and Skills:
1.
Valid driver's license with a clean driving record.
2.
Previous delivery experience is a plus, but not required.
3.
Strong organizational and time management skills.
4.
Ability to lift and carry newspaper bundles up to 50 lbs.
5.
Familiarity with streets and neighborhoods in the Battleground area is beneficial.
6.
Excellent communication and customer service skills.
7.
Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
8.
Willingness to work early mornings, weekends, and holidays as required.
